City of Game Show returns after the chaos of Double XP weekend. Ladies, gentlemen, and otherwise...we're going weekly! ***Friday, February 2nd. 8 PM EST. Galaxy City, behind Hero Corps headquarters.*** Gather there for the growing sensation that will continue to rock Paragon City to its tunnel-ridden foundation with awesome. It is a... CITY OF GAME SHOW! Last episode, we showed off our format, and we've made necessary tweaks to make everything more awesome. This episode, we've decided to show off possible prizes that are rather unique. Every contest out there gives out inf, which any hero that spends time in the city can earn without breaking a sweat. So why do game shows tend to give out heavy amounts of inf? Sure, a few bigger events give out Hami-Os, which are really snazzy, but I imagine some of you out there don't want to wait until level 47 to use a prize. Let's face it. Influence is an overrated prize, and I'd like to find prizes that are more interesting and unique. This is why we're giving out a bunch of prizes that aren't influence this week! There will be no eliminations until the final round, so don't worry if you think you're going to lose early on like you did last week (this includes you people that didn't show -- YOU LOST by missing out on the awesome). Maybe we'll surprise you. Maybe we won't. Either way, it's different! It's a Prize Showcase. Random Questions that Barely Qualify as a F.A.Q. What is needed to play City of Game Show? If you can survive the zone the episode takes place in, you might have a chance. Expect the unexpected. Not everyone has an equal or fair chance, and you may be asked to perform strange tasks that you are incapable of doing. Such is the luck of a game show. Every episode will have a thread. Any specific instructions for that episode will lie within. (From now on, I'll place this in the description and at the bottom of the post. Hint for people who read: Some tasks may ask you to make new level 1 characters. We'll see for certain.) Wait, you guys are those Jerks. How can we trust you not to screw the contestants over? You can't. Well, for the most part, that is. There will be a legit prize, as well as a legit chance for some contestants to win said prize. We also promise not to plant Jerks as contestants to protect our prizes from actual contestants. Seriously. We'll beat up any Jerks that try this without a good reason. So what is the format of City of Game Show? It varies. We have no intention of playing the same game twice. It's kind of like Calvinball, except less awesome and more like a game show. One week might have us eliminating contestants randomly through competition until one remains. Another week may have us simply give out small prizes throughout the event for competitions. We might even have special events, like tournaments and lengthy special tasks for teams. We just don't want a format of three hours of cycling boring dance emotes while pretending to have fun, with a small game or two mixed in. Unless we decide to make that a competition. Don't tempt us. We want to keep these shows relatively brief, frequently frantic, and more exciting that what you could otherwise be doing in-game. So when is this again? And where is it? Are you going to ask this every time? Yes. Sheesh. WHAT: CITY OF GAME SHOW - EPISODE 1 WHEN: FRIDAY FEBRUARY 2ND @ 8:00 PM EST WHERE: GALAXY CITY, BEHIND HERO CORPS HEADQUARTERS PRIZES: VARIOUS, MANY NOT INVOLVING INF (and one involving inf anyways) HOSTED BY: Cpt. Concussion and The Circle of Jerks WHY: WORLD DOMINATION There. Happy? **Will there be anything required of us this time? No. Just show up. Of course, if you want to be awesome, you could keep this topic active by suggesting possible prizes we could hand out that aren't influence. We have enough ideas in mind to run the show, but maybe you know something awesome we don't, or could volunteer something awesome as a prize. It may be strange, the host asking the contestants and audience for ideas on a show that isn't (directly) about improv comedy, but I like to think of it as sharing. You give us ideas that I take and use to bait people into playing oddball games. It's fun to share.
